Job Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales Operations Manager plans and implements the strategic direction for sales operations through collaborative planning with Chief Financial Officer and business line General Managers. Works with the Sales and Finance departments to develop and administer the company's sales processes including but not limited to sales pipeline accuracy, key metrics, reliable forecasting, lead generation to order processes, and support for sales executives. This role will partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the sales organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Manage and build sales operations team providing work direction, establishing goals/expectations, coaching and developmental support.
Oversee team/process for effective use of sales engineering resources teams to expedite opportunities through sales funnel.
Drive continuous improvement through standard operating cadences including weekly forecast and metric reviews in addition to monthly and quarterly go-to-market business reviews.
Support annual planning cycles including goal setting, coverage modeling, territory design, and providing pathways to achieving the financial plan.
Develop, measure, analyze and report results to support informed, fact-based business decisions which drive improved performance for the supported functions.
Collaborate with business development, production, engineering, software, and marketing stakeholders to design and execute strategic operational projects to increase sales productivity, operational efficiency, and revenue.
Make forecasting for Sales/Business Development transparent and predictable.
Design, document, and implement specific initiatives to improve data hygiene and security, improve sales team throughput and efficiency.
Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel and operational metrics and delivering regular insights to the business; define and deliver techniques to improve the funnel performance for sales management.
Maintain regular check-ins with Sales Managers/Enterprise Sales Representatives and others who contribute to opportunity development to determine how sales opportunities are tracking against plan and identify any problems for internal review and problem solving.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Required:


Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in operations management, and experience with building and managing a team
5+ years of experience managing a Salesforce.com system
Experience interfacing directly with customers at a senior management and technical level
Process-oriented, metrics-based "system" thinker, understands and can enforce enterprise data quality
Experience working on six sigma, lean processing projects is preferred
Proven experience in building internal processes with check and balances
Travel up to 10%


Preferred:


Master's degree
Experience with multiple CRM and Finance systems
Business analysis experience (including implementation, tracking, problem resolution and reporting) in software industry
