Job Description

ACADEMIC COORDINATOR, SCALE (SUPPLY CHAIN AND LOGISTICS EXCELLENCE) NETWORK, Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL), to serve as the primary point of contact and resource about program for affiliate students, faculty, and center staff on program and MIT requirements. Will monitor curriculum changes, oversee the maintenance of graduate administration content on the MIT SCALE website, help develop and disseminate recruiting materials, and provide support to academic administrators and/or managers at all the current and future SCALE Network Centers.  Responsibilities include coordinating the admissions process; handling logistics associated with annual MIT SCALE Connect programming during IAP; handling student onboarding; disseminating academic curriculum information/changes; coordinating events; collecting alumni information; designing and launching a marketing campaign for the Graduate Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management program; maintaining databases and providing reports and statistics; responding to inquiries from prospective graduate applicants; coordinating commencement needs; assisting with annual LatAm Conference; and providing administrative support to the Supply Chain Management program and performing other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least two years’ academic administration experience; ability to work with students, faculty, and staff in a highly diverse, cross-cultural environment; experience with international education and challenges faced by international students; excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, time-management, and organizational skills; experience organizing/managing events; and discretion and judgment with confidential information/issues.  Must be able to work under pressure of deadlines in an environment with a high volume of work; interface effectively with students, guest speakers, and corporate partners; and balance multiple tasks simultaneously. PREFERRED: master’s degree; experience in higher education student services; and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs, Canvas, Concur, Zoom, and other admissions- and registrar-related database management systems. Job #23865-6

Must be able to occasionally oversee events that occur outside of regular work hours, e.g., evening receptions.

This position requires being on the MIT campus.  It is not a remote position.
