Primary Responsibilities
Performs work in the care, cleaning and housekeeping of all University buildings in accordance with established work procedures. Work is generally confined to smaller units on campus and the ice arena requiring occasional assistance from and coordination of the efforts of the Senior Ice Technician, Ice Technicians, Cleaners, and other University employees doing this type of work. Primary duties include cleaning, care and housekeeping, installation of ice sheet painted to NCAA specifications, perform safe ice resurfacing and maintain electric Zamboni. Provide training to other Ice Technicians as needed. Strong desire to work overtime in-season for Women’s and Men’s hockey games.

Flexible schedule: Wednesday – Sunday 5pm-130am
Days off:Monday and Tuesday

Location: Appleton and as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma (or equivalent) required.
Ability to follow verbal and printed instructions and obtain identified training. Ability to work with chemicals. Ability to communicate with and coordinate work of others. Requires lifting a minimum of 45 lbs., bending, pushing and pulling. Must be able to meet University requirements to be authorized to drive University vehicles as assigned and safely operate ice resurfacing equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Care, maintenance, cleaning or housekeeping of buildings. Working knowledge or training related to the safe operation of ice resurfacing equipment (Zamboni) and experience with ice maintenance and equipment preferred.
Salary $15.00-20.49 (SEIU) Level B. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
