Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2024.

The selected candidate will be expected to teach computer science courses at the baccalaureate level, as well as some graduate classes, if needed. The selected candidate will also be expected to engage in academic research through paper publication in peer reviewed journals and conferences, engage and motivate students, and complete service duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Requirements
PhD or equivalent in Computer Science or related field. ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements
Previous teaching experience in intro and/or upper level CS classes required. Strong oral and written communication skills, strong classroom management and excellent teaching skills, and the ability to adapt to new teaching formats is required.
Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications
Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate classes. Candidates in all CS areas are encouraged to apply, but special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in machine learning, data science and/or parallel & distributed systems.
