SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing clerical support to the patient care area ensuring effective and efficient services are delivered.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)
- Manage the units communication systems (telephone, pagers, patient call system, nurse spectra phone, computers, etc.) to facilitate communication between members of the health care team and their clients.
- Interact with all visitors, physicians, coworkers and other departments in a customer friendly manner.
- Establish and maintain floor inventory of identified forms and supplies.
- Maintain identified patient record while the patient is admitted to the unit.
- Assist charge nurse with completing computerized orders and telemetry monitoring.
