Position Summary
Dr. Shah Ali’s laboratory at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated Technician B to support ongoing research projects in the lab, which investigates mechanisms of cardiomyocyte maturation and heart regeneration. The projects will utilize cultured mammalian cells, mouse models, and lentivirus and adeno-associated viruses and a combination of biochemistry, molecular biology, and high-throughput bioinformatics approaches to answer questions related to mammalian cardiac regeneration. Overall, the Technician B will have multi-faceted responsibilities in a collaborative space that will help generate fundamental biological insights about cardiac maturation and regeneration.
