This position reports directly to the Engineering Services Team Lead. The following job description outlines the essential functions of designing and maintaining engineering specifications for insulated shippers and associated components as well as their bills of materials. The following lists are not exhaustive, and the engineer is expected to assume any and all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in the following.

What you'll be doing:

Work closely with internal partners to design and develop packaging solutions to meet customer requirements
Create prototypes and CAD drawings of new package designs utilizing SolidWorks and/or ArtiosCAD
Assists manufacturing with assembly questions
Creates prototype drawing specifications using SolidWorks and/or ArtiosCAD for customer approval, external testing, and tooling requirements
Records all sample and production drawings and keeps them up to date
Work with other departments to communicate about customer needs, product ideas, etc.
Produce associated drawings and instructions, maintain bills of materials in Agile PLM
Perform engineering duties that require exercise of judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices.
Work from instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, and other important information
Prepare specifications and documents in accordance with requirements
Establish formats and instructions
Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of industry and trade trends/developments
Produces production and engineering change request specifications
Other related duties as assigned.

This position can be located in our Arlington Heights., IL plant or our Montgomeryville, PA plant.

We'd love to hear from you if:
BS or AS degree in a technical, business or a related field or equivalent experience or 4 to 6 years of related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment, required.
General packaging experience preferred
Good organization and attention to detail skills, required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required
Excellent teamwork skills
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD program, required
Familiarity with Agile PLM and MCAD, preferred
Excellent presentation skills, self-confidence, maturity, as well as the ability to work alone
Ability to work in a heavily deadline-oriented environment. Ability to work individually and as part of a team. Ability to identify, research, coordinate, and resolve issues.
Organized, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to multi-task and a team player with a positive attitude and a focus on business issues.
Highly effective communication skills; ability to prepare oral and written reports.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communications skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this role is from $60,675 to $72,810.
