Our Infrastructure Architects are responsible for keeping up with the latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.

Your Role and Responsibilities
***US Citizenship is required for this role. Candidates for consideration must EITHER have a Secret OR Top Secret Clearance and be able to sit onsite in Colorado Springs CO ***

The Cloud Architect will:
Architect, Design & Implementation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) on AWS or other cloud service providers
Identify & define technical requirements to build new AWS (or other cloud service providers) based applications and architectures as well as migrate on-prem applications to the cloud leveraging cloud native services
Use Terraform/Cloud Formations to deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) for AWS resources (or other cloud service providers)
Deploying and provisioning in an production environment AWS (or other cloud service providers) resources including IaaS: EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, ELB, IAM, Security Groups, Cloud Watch, VPC, Route53, Subnets, Routing Tables, Internet Gateways, certificates, autoscaling groups, PaaS services: EKS, ECR, ECS, Fargate, Code Deploy, Code Commit, and other SaaS services
Evaluate Cloud Application requirements and make architectural recommendations for implementation, deployment, and provisioning in AWS or other cloud service providers
Design a hybrid architecture using key AWS (or other cloud service providers) technologies such as the Virtual Private Network (VPN), Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect (DX)
Work with and mentor a team of highly skilled engineers in building a state-of-the-art cloud environment that has the ability to scale and grow
Must have experience in a client-facing environment and interacting with technical and business stakeholders
Security Clearance Required:
Minimum Secret clearance, prefer TS/SCI
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree: BS in an engineer field or applicable years of experience in Cloud Architecture development and implementation
At least 3 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated experience in/with:
Deploying cloud assets on any provider (AWS, Azure, Oracle, etc..)
Proficient in Terraform or Cloud Formations and at least one other major programming language
Work with a team to conceptualize and implement a full system architecture on cloud assets with a mix of managed and un-managed services
Working independently, anticipating, and adapting to changing mission requirements and priorities, and managing multiple tasks with minimal guidance.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Certifications: SAFe for Teams Certification.
  • Security Clearance: Pre-existing, Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Degree: BS in an engineer field or applicable years of experience in Cloud Architecture development and implementation
    At least 3 years years of relevant experience with a BS degree and at least 5 years without degree
    Must have experience in a client-facing environment and interacting with technical and business stakeholders

    Degree: BS in an engineer field or applicable years of experience in Cloud Architecture development and implementation

    At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in/with:
    Deploying cloud assets on any provider (AWS, Azure, Oracle, etc..)
    Proficient in Terraform or Cloud Formations and at least one other major programming language


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command
Experience with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program office
