Are you an experienced and innovative Digital Electronics Engineer with a passion for designing high-reliability electronics for challenging environments? Our client is seeking a Senior Digital Electronics Engineer to join the Harsh Environments Electronics group. The Senior Digital Electronics Engineer will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design, develop, and verify high reliability digital electronics for a diverse range of applications, including processor boards, FPGA and SOC boards, memory applications (DDR), and high-speed I/O. The Senior Digital Electronics Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping digital hardware architectures and leading electronics development activities, applying your engineering expertise and project management skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and verify high-reliability digital electronics.
- Lead electronics development activities, ensuring the successful execution of projects.
- Participate in schematic capture and board layout activities.
- Integrate and troubleshoot embedded systems within digital electronics.
- Conduct circuit simulation using HyperLynx to ensure the performance and reliability of digital electronics.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 7+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience.
- Strong background in working with and knowledge of trade space for radiation-hardened components.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and board layout.
- Hands-on experience in integrating and debugging embedded systems.
- Ability to perform circuit simulation using HyperLynx.
- Experience with Mentor Graphics PCB design flow is preferred.
- Familiarity with Xilinx or Microchip FPGA and SOC design flow is preferred.
- Knowledge of design for harsh environments as per common commercial and military standards (i.e., RTCA and DO-160, MIL-STD-810, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Candidates must be a United States Citizen as the laboratory is a cleared facility.
- Ability to obtain a United States Secret Clearance is required (active Secret Clearance is preferred).
