To support our exciting growth plans, we are currently seeking a knowledgeable, experienced, and ambitious individual to join and work in our growing Regulatory Advice team, focused on the Energy sector.
Working closely with our Head of Regulation & Assurance and Energy Market Lead, this role is key to establishing and growing our presence and service offering within the Energy sector.
You will oversee technical assurance of annual regulatory returns and price controls / business plans, while reviewing and challenging specific business cases or cost adjustment claims. You will review and critique of Assurance Frameworks, Methodologies, Data/Information and their sources, Audits, Compliance with regulatory requirements.
You will provide advice and support in response to emerging risks or new regulatory requirements while overseeing development and submission of Assurance Reports / Summary Reports for internal and external consumption.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team, working in partnership with a variety of clients, to lead / support / contribute to credible business growth focused on the regulated Energy Sector.
ABOUT YOU
You will be a strategic thinker, thought leader with excellent analytical, conceptual, and practical skills. Ideally you will have consultancy experience within the Energy Sector working at Ofgem or a regulated Energy Business, leading and supporting credible business growth.
You will be degree qualified within a relevant field, for this senior role, ideally be an accredited member of an Institution or equivalent with significant practical experience and, you will have experience working within the regulated Energy sector.
You will have a strong appreciation of how the financial side of a utility type business practically links to your technical area of expertise and experience of the technical aspects of Purchaser or Vendor Due Diligence (for Mergers and Acquisitions).
You will have asset management, and professional engineering services experience, skills, capabilities, and competences which can be fully utilised by the Stantec business across multiple sectors.
