About the Job

Basic Job Functions:
Responsible to ensure that all reliability tests are complete as per the schedule including sample acquiring, testing, & data entry. Support new test equipment development. Identify and/or implement test and measurement system improvements that increase test throughput and equipment performance. Troubleshoot day-to-day reliability test equipment and priority issues.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor Degree in a technical discipline (Electrical preferred) with minimum 2 years work experience in a manufacturing or lab environment.
Associates Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline (Electrical preferred) with minimum 5 years working experience in a manufacturing or lab environment.
High School Diploma with minimum 7 years working experience in a manufacturing or lab environment.
Calibration/testing/measurement experience is an added advantage.
Required Skills/Competencies:
Proven communications skills and attention to detail.
Average to excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, SQL).
Good team player.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Average to excellent ability to use tools and operating equipment is required (micrometers, multi-meters, power supplies and data logger).
Possess intermediate knowledge of JMP and SQL application.
Good leadership skill is required.
Ability to operate a fork lift is required.
Proven mechanical skills
General electrical/electronic knowledge
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Self-directed, proactive approach to problem solving
Consistently demonstrates efficient and effective methods to deliver quality test results.
Able to perform basic data analysis using JMP and SQL application.
Able to prepare and update basic summary reports for reliability investigations and reliability test metrics.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible to perform baseline and posttest measurement for all standard Reliability tests.
Responsible to safely load and operate all standard Reliability Stress Test equipment.
Responsible to process warranty returns.
Perform data entry for Reliability testing.
Responsible to ensure that all the tests and measurements are complete per the schedule.
Responsible to communicate immediately any abnormal findings on the product or testing equipment.
Willing to work long hours and weekends to support any testing or measurement.
Adheres to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
Responsible to assist in any other task or job assign by supervisor.
Identify durability/stability defects and issues and communicate to appropriate personnel (Level 1 failure analysis and troubleshooting).
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to the Supervisor, Lab Operations
Travel:
0-5% travel required
Estimated Hourly Range:
$22.00 - $30.00 Estimated Hourly Rate
US Physical Requirements:
Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day
Will climb stairs on an occasional basis
Will exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull on a seldom basis
Will lift, push or pull up to 27 pounds on a frequent basis
Will lift up to 51 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instructions.
Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis
Will push or pull up to 27 pounds of force on an occasional basis.
Will push or pull up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis.
Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis
20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required
Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards)
Potential candidates will meet the education and experience requirements provided on the above job description and excel in completing the listed responsibilities for this role.
