Rescues health behavior change marketing campaigns focus on topics such as tobacco, obesity, substance and alcohol prevention; the promotion of exercise, eating healthy foods, early childhood development, and after school programs; and other topics that promote healthy living. Rescues behavior change campaigns focus on diverse populations within teen (13 - 17), young adult (18 - 26), and adult (18+) populations in both rural and urban areas, resulting in a wide variety of campaign styles and strategies.

The Job
Rescue Agency is seeking an experienced Front-end Web Developer to join our team. We are looking for an individual with a strong blend of creative flair and technical expertise to develop innovative digital and web experiences. This role requires excellent communication skills, as the candidate will collaborate with both creative and non-creative team members.

Day-To-Day Activities:

• Own the role of web development lead on team projects, collaborate to develop websites and digital experiences;

• Participate in project kick-off and status meetings with creative and other project leaders. Proactively communicate ideas and creative solutions;

• Optimize website performance for maximum speed and scalability;

• Collaborate effectively and closely with UX/UI designers, project managers, product managers, tech lead, and other stakeholders;

• Conduct QA testing and troubleshoot and debug technical issues;

• Expertly translate high-fidelity designs into working websites, ensuring feasibility within scope and budget constraints;

• Lead development and execution of websites on time and on budget;

• Handle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment;

• Provide quality assurance and attention to detail;

• Utilize internal tracking systems and procedures;

• Contribute to continuously improving team productivity, code quality, tool, and technology adoption;

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED

• 3+ years of industry experience

• Proven work experience as a Front-end Developer

• Proficiency in Figma and XD

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Good eye for aesthetics and attention to detail

• Understanding of UX/UI principles is a plus

• Experience writing clean, semantic, and reusable code within a component-based architecture

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to adjust to changing environments and switch contexts during development

• Experience with Vue 2 and Nuxt

• Experience with CSS and SASS

• Experience with command line tools such as Git and npm

• Experience within the AWS Amplify environment

• Agency experience is strongly preferred

• Familiarity with SEO & accessibility principles

Environment:
All business-related environments are tobacco-free.

Physical Requirements:
Able to remain in a sitting position for prolonged periods of time for the performance of duties. Able to read from a computer, laptop monitor, or tablet for a full workday and for long periods of time (typically 8 hours) including fonts of various sizes from a variety of sources. If working from a Rescue office location, able to stoop, bend, reach, climb stairs, and move freely throughout the building. Able to travel nationwide as needed to meet with clients, coworkers, or attend meetings and seminars. Must be able to move boxed work documents, up to 40 pounds, in and out of office for travel by car and by air.
