Vestis Services Wash Aisle Employee in Hibbing, Minnesota

Description

The Wash Aisle Employee is responsible for loading and unloading semi-automatic machines. Observe signals and manipulate buttons to start and stop semi-automatic machines. Oversees completed cycles on all machines to insure proper wash without impairment to textiles. Subject to work in an environment containing; accessing noise, temperature, chemicals, and wet floors. Uses hand truck, marked bins, Elis 900 pound washer, Elis 700 pound washer, computer, chemical dispensing machines and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for proper sorting of soiled garments/products to prepare for cleaning.

  • Work with sorted soiled garments to place in appropriate wash and dry aisles.

  • Ensure correct garments are loaded and unloaded into the proper locations and or equipment.

  • Monitor all of the equipment used to clean the garments and report any safety concerns or hazards if necessary.

  • Prepare the clean garments to be delivered to the customers by sorting and bundling them as required.

  • Assist in loading the garments ready for delivery onto the delivery truck if help is needed.

  • Provide assistance as needed to other production employees.

Qualifications:

  • High school Graduate or Equivalent

  • Read and understand English

  • Prior laundry service employment preferred

  • Ability to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instruction.

  • Comfortable with a fast-paced work environment that may include fluctuating temperatures and loud noise levels.

  • Ability to deal with fellow co-workers positively
