About the Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Back-end Developer, to contribute to developing our SaaS Telecom Expense Management platform. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Ruby programming language and frameworks and experience in Agile development methodologies, AWS, GitHub, GraphQL, and REST APIs. As a Senior Back End Developer, you will architect sophisticated ML parsers and scrapers, expense management, and device management software applications while working closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable solutions hosted in AWS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Act as a senior developer for our SaaS Telecom Expense Management platform.
* Contribute to the development and architecture of mission-critical software (85% of your day-to-day).
* Manage a globally distributed developer team (10% of your day-to-day).
* Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, such as Product, Tech Services, and our customers (5% of your day-to-day).
* Play a crucial role in supporting applications on AWS.
* Utilize a tech stack that includes AWS, Ruby (on Rails), Sinatra, Vue, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, GraphQL, Terraform, and Redis.
* Leverage your high throughput and self-driven initiative to deliver high-quality code to the SaaS Telecom Expense Management industry.
* Provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
* Expert (8+ years) current experience in software development, with at least 5+ years focused Ruby on Rails development.
* Expert (5+ years) experience with PostgreSQL.
* Spent 3+ years as an engineering manager for a team of remote RoR developers in different time zones.
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
* Demonstrable proficiency with AWS.
* Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
* Ideally, previous experience in Billing, Reports, Telecom, or Expense Management Systems.
