We are in search of a VP of Accounting to join our team in the Insurance industry based in the Auburn/ Worcester area, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be overseeing financial planning, conducting business control, and managing reporting processes. This role is crucial in ensuring effective and efficient accounting procedures within our organization.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the organization's financial planning and business control functions.
• Manage the collection, analysis, and reporting of company-wide financial data.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial data.
• Drive efficiency and effectiveness in our accounting processes.
• Use accounting software systems to streamline processes and increase productivity.
• Handle the company's accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead budget processes, forecasting, and financial modeling initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, presenting financial data in an understandable manner.
• Leverage strong leadership skills to manage and guide the accounting team.
• Apply knowledge and experience in Property & Casualty Insurance to enhance financial processes and strategies.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems as well as insurance industry experience is required.
• Must possess a deep understanding of various Accounting Functions.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is essential.
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.
• Auditing skills are a must-have.
• Knowledge of Budget Processes is crucial.
