Process Improvement Summer Internship
  
  Description/Job Summary

PITT OHIO, a $900 million, high service, highly profitable, transportation solutions provider offering SUPPLY CHAIN, GROUND, LTL and TRUCKLOAD services is seeking an Process Improvement Summer Intern. This internship position is located at our Corporate Office located in Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities:
Maintain Productivity reports within PowerBI
Use analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues
Create process flowcharts
Data collection and analysis
Process Improvement analysis
Cross functional communication
Operationalobservations at the terminals
Support the other Engineers in the department
Other duties as required
Projects:
Maintain and develop reports within PowerBI
Use MS Visio to create Operational process flowcharts
Assist the Engineering team with BOL Imaging implementation and data analysis
Help assist the Engineering team with data cleansing of Driver data
Qualifications:
Must be majoring in Industrial Engineering and/or another Engineering/Analytical related discipline
Completed at least Sophomore year at University/college
Minimum GPA of at least 3.0
Must be competent and proficient in Microsoft Office Software products
Previous Lean Experience
Knowledge of PowerBI or another Business Intelligence software
Effective statistical analysis skills
Experience with SQL is a plus
Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Problem solving and analytical thinking skills are required
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Fluent English language skills required to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
