Ensuring Chart’s Success…

Chart’s New Prague, MN location is currently seeking candidates interested in our General Laborer positions on our night shift. Thisposition plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products and is primarily responsiblefor blasting, grinding and assisting department welders in performing various tank assembly functions.

Night Shift: Monday-Thursday 2:45pm - 12:45am

Overtimeis periodically required.

There is a $2.00/hour shift differential for working on the night shift

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Operating cranes and forklifts

  • Blast and grind plate for internal customers

  • Help prepare vessels for hydro testing (positioning, filling with water, pressurizing)

  • Maintain required production and inspection records

  • Assist with the assembly of vessels

  • Maintain the necessary equipment to perform testing

  • Observe and practice safety procedures and policies

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Frequent lifting up to 40 lbs.; infrequent lifting of 50-60 lbs, May request lifting assistance.

  • Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling

  • Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of materials

  • Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Understanding and use of basic blueprints preferred

  • Familiar and comfortable with hand and power tools

  • Ability to use and understand various measuring devices

  • Computer skills, familiar with navigating a web browser

  • Readily takes action on challenges and with a “can do” attitude

  • Identifies and seizes new opportunities

  • Encourages the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions

  • Attentively listens to others

  • Admits mistakes and gains insights from experiences

  • Willingness to ask questions to gain a better understanding

Your Education Should Be…

  • High School diploma or GED
