Chart’s New Prague, MN location is currently seeking candidates interested in our General Laborer positions on our night shift. Thisposition plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products and is primarily responsiblefor blasting, grinding and assisting department welders in performing various tank assembly functions.
Night Shift: Monday-Thursday 2:45pm - 12:45am
Overtimeis periodically required.
There is a $2.00/hour shift differential for working on the night shift
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
Operating cranes and forklifts
Blast and grind plate for internal customers
Help prepare vessels for hydro testing (positioning, filling with water, pressurizing)
Maintain required production and inspection records
Assist with the assembly of vessels
Maintain the necessary equipment to perform testing
Observe and practice safety procedures and policies
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Frequent lifting up to 40 lbs.; infrequent lifting of 50-60 lbs, May request lifting assistance.
Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling
Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of materials
Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
Understanding and use of basic blueprints preferred
Familiar and comfortable with hand and power tools
Ability to use and understand various measuring devices
Computer skills, familiar with navigating a web browser
Readily takes action on challenges and with a “can do” attitude
Identifies and seizes new opportunities
Encourages the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions
Attentively listens to others
Admits mistakes and gains insights from experiences
Willingness to ask questions to gain a better understanding
Your Education Should Be…
- High School diploma or GED
