Job Summary

Provides leadership for the day-to-day operations of the IT SAP System Administration Team responsible for systems level management of BSE's SAP and Database Management Systems. Leads and supports company strategic projects and internal IT projects. Monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots the SAP technical environment and Database Management Systems. Develops and maintains technical documentation and disaster recovery procedures. Maintains SAP Security to address authorization issues across all SAP systems and to adhere to SAP Security best practices. Implements various SAP Products and Solutions which include installation, upgrades, migration, conversions/consolidation of systems to latest SAP technology and cloud-based platforms, requirement gathering, SAP & HANA sizing and maintenance of SAP landscape.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions
Provides daily technical leadership for the IT SAP System Administration Team with an emphasis on continued growth, maintenance, and operation of our SAP, database management, and middleware technologies
Plans, analyzes, configures, monitors, tunes, and troubleshoots SAP systems, database management systems, SAP middleware systems
Develops and maintains technical documentation, troubleshoots, resolves problems, monitors capacity and performance, and tests disaster recovery procedures
Designs and converts SAP ECC systems by migrating to the latest SAP S/4 HANA products such as 1909 running on cloud platforms such as SAP HEC, AWS and Azure & deployment of SAP Fiori front-end server FES 6.0
Integrates S/4 HANA with multiple legacy and SAP systems on-premise and cloud connectors-based APIs
Responsible for successful delivery, ensuring quality and timely deliverables through the project cycle
Designs complex SAP landscape, involving multiple New Dimension products.
Sets up HA and DR (High Availability & Disaster Recovery) solutions on-premise and cloud environments such as SAP HEC, AWS and AZURE
Completes SAP upgrades using SUM and migration to HANA using DMO and implements SAP ACTIVATE for S/4HANA
Completes daily SAP administration in a very complex landscape, activity planning, refresh, system maintenance, system decommission, storage space utilization and management, patching, notes application, incident management, problem management and resolution
Implements specialized solution manager capabilities namely, technical monitoring, ChaRM for transport and change management, Business Process Repository, Business Process Monitoring
Responsible for project documentation and vendor coordination for technical design, solution and delivery
Manages the complex SAP HANA landscapes with SAP HANA BIGDATA components such as SDA, SDI, SLT for real-time replications and migration of HANA 1.0 to 2.0 with MDC (Multi Data Container)
Provides expertise in Database management for HANA and a non-HANA DB
Works across ITIL and Project Life Cycle delivery landscapes, which includes but is not limited to agile applications development, support and deployment
Focuses on building solutions and maintaining, optimizing and improving applications and systems
Contributes to a business and technical blueprint and customizes the respective Software Package Core Module
Leads and supports IT projects
Analyzes, develops, and maintains SAP architectures.
Manages and configures database management systems
Manages technical changes that minimizes risk and achieves high reliability, availability and performance of each SAP instance
Supports complex environments consisting of Sandbox, Development, Test, QA, and Production systems
Configures alerts; determines thresholds of alerts within monitoring systems as well as third party monitoring systems
Resolves system problems and applies the appropriate course of action
Manages incident tickets, including complex troubleshooting
Helps to resolve complex issues, establish priorities, and makes decisions within guidelines, budgets and authority
Assists with SAP Security to address authorization issues across all SAP systems and to best practices
Non-essential Functions
Performs off-hours support as needed including month-end processes
Provides 3rd level support for the IT Helpdesk
Acts as a mentor to other members of the team
Responsible for testing, end-user training and provide subject matter expert in SAP & HANA Technologies
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or other designate

Qualifications

Four-year degree in computer science, information systems, or management information systems or the equivalent in work experience.
Minimum 5+ years of experience working in an enterprise IT environment and experience maintaining enterprise level systems.
Experience with SAP administration Windows and/or Linux platforms.
Experience designing and building high availability and disaster recovery systems preferred.
Technical knowledge requirements: SAP systems, Microsoft SQL Server Administration, Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE), SAP HANA, EDI
Requires the ability to read, write and speak in English.
SAP Products Suites including SAP NetWeaver and SAP S/4HANA product family
SAP Business Objects products including BOBJ and SAP DS
SAP Solution Manager 7.2, SAP Focused Build, SAP Focused RUN
SAP Implementation Tools: SWPM, SUM, Maintenance Planner, Quick Sizer
Database Management Tools: HANA Studio, HANA LM, Cockpit, MSSQL Studio, ASE isql
Cloud Technologies: SAP HEC, AWS, Azure
Operating Systems: Windows, SUSE Linux, RedHat Linux etc.
