The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

The candidate will work with the Senior Director of Business Intelligence and Reporting to create automated financial, student, and demographic data through the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive database. They will also provide essential support for future applications and sites built on similar frameworks. Proficiency in web development languages such as PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required, along with a strong understanding of databases like Postgres, MySQL, and others. Active participation in the prototyping, design, and development phases of cloud-based web applications and tools is a key aspect of the responsibilities. Expertise in implementing creative user interfaces and programs for seamless interaction with back-end systems and services is crucial.


Responsibilities

  • Implementing Creative User Interfaces and Programs: Responsible in leveraging their expertise to implement creative user interfaces and programs, fostering seamless interaction with back-end systems and services.
  • Prototyping and Design: Responsible for the design and development of complete integration solutions for business lines.
  • Database Development: Responsible for the design and development of complete integration solutions for business lines. Defines and implements exception management process and associated tools for auditable integration and database quality control.
  • Supporting Applications and Sites: The candidate's efforts will be directed toward providing essential support for ongoing and future applications and sites built on similar frameworks, addressing issues, and ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Documentation: Document and compile comprehensive notes regarding the systems under construction and maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of related experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven programming expertise encompassing PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a specific focus on database systems such as Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with changing priorities and multiple projects.
  • Precision and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
