We are currently hiring a Mental Health Therapist to join our Nexus-Mille Lacs clinical treatment team!
Nexus-Mille Lacs offers trauma-informed, family-centered, nationally recognized treatment for boys, ages 10-19, with significant mental health issues and harmful sexual behaviors. We strive to provide the best quality care for our youth as well as our employees. Nexus treatment programs have been creating brighter futures for nearly four decades.
Our evidence-based practices include:
Therapy - Individual, Family, and Group
EMDR (Eye Movement De-Sensitization Reprocessing)
TF-CBT (Trauma Focused - Cognitive Based Therapy)
Vocational Skill Development
Experiential Therapy - Sensory, Movement, Sand, Animal Interactions, and Play
Position Summary:
Provide assessments and treatment services to individuals, families and group
Facilitate partnership strategies with the community
Participate in the initial interview of resident pursuant to family history and provide a written assessment
Provide family and individual therapy services to residents and their families
Assess readiness for discharge in conjunction with other team members
Ensure compliance with governing agency and Nexus reporting requirements
Educate staff about family treatment integration theory and techniques and its application to residents
Complete Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) functional assessment
Through the collaborative effort with family, youth and providers, develop and monitor the individual treatment plans
Provide individualized, youth-focused, strength and evidenced-based family and individual therapy models to youth and families. Examples: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
Develop and facilitate milieu and treatment groups that are trauma informed, educational, and treatment focused
Schedule & Pay:
Full time or Part Time (Monday - Friday)
Pay Range: starting at $70,000 per year for full-time Clinical Trainees and $73,000+ per year for full-time licensed Therapists.
Sign-on bonus of $5,000

Required Education and Licensure:
Minimum of Master's or other graduate degree in one of the behavioral sciences, human services, social work, counseling, psychology, family therapy, or related fields
Must be licensed in related clinical field - LPCC, LMFT, LICSW - OR on track for licensure. We do provide supervision hours for those who need it free of charge upon hire.
Valid driver's license required
