The Workday Operations team is part of UW-IT and supports the University’s faculty, staff and student workers by configuring and supporting UW’s Workday HCM, Payroll, and Finance Modules. Within Workday Operations, the Workday Security Team supports supports the design, provisioning and management of Workday Security. The hallmarks of Workday Operations are delivering services that are timely, accurate and highly attuned to the fast-paced university environment. We are looking for a Senior Security Specialist to join the UW’s Workday Security Team. The security team supports critical infrastructure and IT services for account and credential management, authentication, sign-on, access control and administration and participation in global security federations, all in support of institutional finance, HR, and Payroll needs for identity, privacy, security, accountability, transparency, efficiency, and cost-effective management of institutional risk. This position provides technical consulting, education, outreach, and support to the customers and end-users of Workday Access services. Responsibilities include researching and responding to customer needs, troubleshooting complex security issues, developing business requirements, contributing to projects that change the Workday feature sets and business processes, and coordinating testing/validation of security changes.
