Job Description: |
Ameriprise Financial is looking to add a Manager Category Sourcing to the team! This role will provide support and management of strategic sourcing process for the technology goods and services procurement category. Additionally, this position will support end-to-end completion of sourcing projects, and provide thought leadership and direction to business partners and the procurement support team. Key Responsibilities
Support development of sourcing strategy and conduct analysis and negotiations for projects with the support and guidance from procurement leadership.
Support the collection of technology requirements from business partners.
Manage relations with key business partners and technology project owners to develop/maintain strong working relationships.
Provide project-based and/or direct oversight of a small team of resources.
Provide sourcing thought leadership, workload management, and day-to-day oversight of project and resource activities.
Work with key technology leadership and GCO to incorporate results of negotiations into contractual documents.
Provide supporting analytics to finance team to validate realized savings.
Continue developing a strong understanding of a specific Ameriprise business function and related vendor set/industry.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4 year degree)
5-7 years of experience of technology sourcing experience
Strong problem solving and analytic skills.
Ability to interpret data.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to clearly and persuasively communicate ideas and recommendations.
Strong negotiation skills.
Ability to translate requirements into contractual terms.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
