JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly qualified Chief Medical Officer to join our team. The Chief Medical Officer will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and guidance to our products and services, clinical operations, and medical/regulatory affairs teams. This individual will play a critical role in shaping our healthcare and life sciences strategy, and especially, growing our provider business growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and contribute to overall business unit strategy and direction.
* Provide clinical leadership for the company, including insights into new products and services development, clinical operations, and medical affairs.
* Build relationships with healthcare providers, payers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate their feedback into the company's products and services.
* Identify new opportunities for the company to expand its products and services in the healthcare industry and assesses the potential impact on patient outcomes.
* Generate demand through thought leadership and consultative selling; assist healthcare clients to identify, quantify and qualify needs, articulate how company can add value through its products and services.
* Work collaboratively with the product development team to ensure the development of safe and effective products that meet the needs of patients and healthcare providers.
* Works with our risk and compliance teams to ensures that the company's product and services comply with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including those related to patient privacy, and data security.
* Establish clinical council, a group of key healthcare clinical leaders from leading health systemsto provide guidance into the company's products and services. Lead and manage clinical council on a quarterlybasis.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and regulatory authorities.
* Develop industry specific thought leadership and present at industry events. Represent the company at industry conferences, meetings, and other events.

About the individual:
* Physician with demonstrated commitment to promoting the use of technology to improve the experience of health and healthcare.
* Established thought leader in healthcare and health technology.
* Significant leadership experience in developing programs and business opportunities that materially contribute to organizational growth and performance.
* Agile and adaptive, seeking to join a high-performing organization.

Qualifications:
* Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution.
* Board certification in a medical specialty.
* Experience in a leadership role, with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.
* Proven track record of successfully deploying health technology and or prior experience working with heath technology company.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

In addition, the successful candidate will be entrepreneurial, enterprising, collaborative, and personable. S/hewill possess executive gravitas, sound business acumen and strong leadership skills necessary to innovate, support, and drive the healthcare portfolio globally for Cognizant.
