Overview
Dignity Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner to join our Electrophysiology team. In this role, you will have a primary focus on providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing Electrophysiology procedures, such as Pacemaker insertions, Defibrillator insertions and Ablations. Your responsibilities will include assisting the Electrophysiologist with patient evaluations, procedure education, and post-procedure follow-up care.

Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Electrophysiologist and APP.
Conduct thorough pre-procedure evaluations, including patient history review, physical assessments, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
Educate patients and their families about the details of heart procedures, including risks, benefits, and post-procedure care instructions.
Assist in the coordination of patient care throughout the process, from pre-procedure preparation to post-procedure recovery and follow-up.
Monitor patients' progress and recovery following procedures, addressing any complications or concerns as they arise.
Provide ongoing patient education on medication management and lifestyle modifications to support long-term heart health.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians and surgeons, and allied health professionals, to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing with specialization in Cardiology.
Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner with focus on cardiology.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in cardiology.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with proficiency in interpreting cardiac imaging studies and diagnostic tests.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and support patients throughout the interventional cardiology process.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
Preferred:
Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP).
Experience in a specialized cardiology or electrophysiology practice setting.
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
Participation in continuing education and professional development activities related to cardiology.
Pay Range
$60.08 - $67.31 /hour
