These positions are located at the Steuben County Department of Public Works, temporary positions available for approximately 12 weeks from Mid May August 2024. The work involves responsibility for the performance of a wide variety of routine manual duties, cleaning assignments, and sometimes arduous tasks requiring physical endurance. Work is performed in accordance with well-established, unvarying operating procedures in use in the department or municipality where employed. Direct supervision is received from a higher-ranking employee or working supervisor who monitors the work to ensure that it is being done properly and in accordance with instructions.
