About Cognizant's Digital Engineering Practice:
At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Small, nimble engineering teams generate collective empathy and comradery, thus increasing their ability to anticipate unforeseen development scope changes and maintain high quality deliverables.Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. The Role:
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Java Developer w/Bloomreach experienced in Asset & Wealth Management to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the "team", drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret complex requirements from stakeholders within the Asset & Wealth Management domain
Design and implement robust, scalable software solutions using Bloomreach and Java ensuring they align with business goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial software solutions with existing systems
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables
Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability
Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members fostering a culture of learning and growth
Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in software development particularly those relevant to Bloomreach and Java
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in the Asset & Wealth Management sector
Participate in code reviews, contributing to the maintenance of high coding standards
Document development processes, procedures and software designs accurately for future reference
Required Skill:
5-8 yrs of relevant experience
Proven experience as a software engineer with a strong focus on Bloomreach and Java
Deep understanding of the Asset & Wealth Management domain with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork abilities with a commitment to delivering high-quality software
A continuous learner open to adopting new technologies and methodologies to solve complex problem.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is preferred
