Estimated starting salary is $16-$20 per hour.
The Intern is expected to work 20 to 28 hours per week during the school year. The candidate selected will be expected to work in-person at our Lake Success, NY office.
Duties and Responsibilities/Results:
- Assist the Audit Team in the completion of an audit by performing fieldwork, which includes testing various samples of data, reviewing reports, and various other documentation to determine the effectiveness of the internal controls of the area being audited and contribute to the continuous improvement of organizational practices.
- Ensure that audits are conducted properly by learning the Audit Standards as established by the Institute of Internal Auditors, and following the steps outlined in the audit program, recording the findings, and analyzing the results.
- Helps as needed by performing other related Audit duties that may be necessary from time to time.
Job Specifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related business discipline.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Word and Excel preferred.
- Proficient in the use of a PC and calculator.
- Independent means of transportation.
