What You'll Do:
Assist with the efficient flow of product through the assigned area and the major repair and maintenance of all machinery in the assigned area.
Work with seasonal employees in their day - to - day duties
Handle minor personnel problems. Refer major problems to the Manger / Operation Manger
In the off season, will be involved in any number of maintenance activities including machine repair/overhaul, cleaning, building walkways and work platforms, and assisting in the installation of new processing equipment.
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
May perform other duties as assigned by the Manger
Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures
Notify manager immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous condition are discovered.
What You'll Bring:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One year relate experience and / or training
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Must possess a complete set of tools for industrial maintenance.
Must have general knowledge of both gas and arc welding, how to cut and thread pipe , bolt and thread sizes, how to fasten pulleys and sprockets on shafts and how to adjust conveyors.
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
Ability to read precision instruments and blue prints
Ability to order part, communicate with the suppliers and service reps from equipment companies.
Ability to fabricate equipment / able to use basic shop math
