Job Description:
Regions Hospital Laboratory is currently seeking a Lab Intern to join our team. This internship run start in early June and lasts 10 weeks.
Our laboratory internship program is designed to help prepare students and/or recent graduates to relate and apply what they have learned in a classroom setting to a health care organization while assisting with projects to support the mission and objectives of the organization and expose young professionals to operational activities. The laboratory intern will be guided by a mutually beneficial set of goals and objectives. This internship will provide a greater understanding of various parts of the lab including but not limited to specimen collections, receipt, processing, testing, and reporting. Tasks and project(s) will be developed jointly by the intern and leadership to mutually benefit the intern and the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Must be enrolled in or graduated from a higher education program in an applicable discipline that relates to the laboratory internship program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous healthcare/laboratory related experience
Work schedule: Monday-Friday day shift. Flexibility is determined by the manager.
