Responsibilities
The Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking a board certified physician with a focus in wound care to join our team.
The Department of Cardiovascular Diseases is comprised of over 130 specialists of which 13 participate in the Division of Vascular Cardiology. The division is based in the Gonda Vascular Center, a multidisciplinary practice involving 49 physicians from disciplines including vascular surgery, vascular medicine, vascular radiology, cardiology, hematology, physical medicine, rheumatology, and general internal medicine. Within this space, the Vascular Medicine practice is comprised of multiple clinics and laboratories (vascular medicine, thrombophilia, the non-invasive vascular physiologic laboratory, vascular ultrasound, vein clinic, wound care clinic, vasculitis clinic, and vascular medicine hospital consult service). There is an active educational program including teaching learners at all stages of education including the Mayo Medical School (with 160 students), Internal Medicine residency program (residents participate in elective 1 month rotations in Vascular Medicine), Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education (Vascular Medicine and Cardiology), and the Mayo School of Continuous Professional Development. Additionally, several members of the section have active translational and epidemiologic research programs. This is a full-time position with a significant allocation to the clinical practice. This role could include participation in the various Vascular Center clinics as well as patient care assignments to the Vascular Medicine hospital consultative practice based on candidate experience and training. The position carries an academic appointment to the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.
Qualifications
License / certification: Candidates must hold an MD/DO or equivalent degree and board-certified in their designated specialty. A Wound Care certification is required (ABWMS, ACCWS, ABMS or other qualifying wound certification). The ideal candidate will be passionate about wound care, in all three shields. clinical, research and education.
Experience or training in vascular disease evaluation and management is an advantage (includes peripheral arterial disease, venous disease, lymphatic diseases, thrombophilia and clotting disorders, or vasculitis.)

Compensation Detail
The minimum starting salary for medical specialties may range from $194,250 to $616,000. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
