Job DescriptionRequisition Summary
The Volume Sales Specialist is responsible for identifying volume sales opportunities with Product Marketing to initiate bulk order sales with dealers across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and South America. The ideal candidate will have a desire to advance within the Sales department to a position of increasing responsibility including District Parts Manager, Sales Development Manager, or Fleet Sales Manager.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Work closely with Product Marketing to understand key marketing objectives, supplier relationships, LTA and other crucial policies related to specific targeted product lines.
Build relationships with dealers and key suppliers to negotiate volume buys and cost concessions
Understand freight policies and negotiate freight rates, multiple drops, cross dock and cross border opportunities
Research and understand cyclical dealer purchasing habits using sales history reports, MDI and other resources; identify and present purchasing opportunities for focus product lines
Educate sales staff and dealers on benefits of volume purchasing, current programs and new opportunities
Ensure provided quotes and entered orders are placed with accuracy and compliance to audit policies; support the entire order process including quoting through a Competitive Sales Request, order entry, follow-up, open order reports, sales reports and credit requests
Cross-train in all areas of the Sales Administration department
50% focus on US dealers & 50% on Mexico and Latin America dealers
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in Operations, Marketing or Business Administration preferred
Two years industry experience, including dealer/customer facing responsibilities preferred
Demonstrated leadership capabilities
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision
Demonstrated adaptability, initiative, and a genuine motivation to grow the Volume Sales role
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure while meeting deadlines
Proficiency with AS400 and Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
Interest in using data analytics tools to transform and analyze data
Fluent in Spanish

Salary Range:
At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $75,100 - $103,730 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
