Are you looking to make a real impact in your next career move? If so, our fantastic manufacturing client in Tonawanda is eagerly seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join their esteemed team. As the Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and verifying financial information, reconciling general ledger accounts, and facilitating month-end close activities. This position offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $90,000 per year based on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities: * Execute monthly closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reports. * Research, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies or documentation issues efficiently, or escalate them appropriately. * Support team members and serve as a backup for accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and payroll processes as necessary. * Collaborate with other departments to obtain and convey information, ensuring accurate transactions. * Play a vital role in continuous improvement projects by identifying areas for enhancement and recommending action plans. Qualifications: * 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a preference for a public accounting background. * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. * CPA certification is strongly preferred. * Proficiency in Excel is essential, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets and models. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Exceptional organizational skills with acute attention to detail. * Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage time efficiently.
