Job Description

As a Quality Control System (QCS) Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of proprietary company hardware and software, as well as assisting with any projects, upgrades, new installations and advanced services. You will be working independently and as part of a small site team.

Maintain quality control hardware and software. This includes cleaning debris from sensors, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues with the frame and sensor package, troubleshooting the computer system and HMI (Human Machine Interface)/control software and maintaining the working state of the entire ABB quality control solution
Accurately document the work that is performed for periodic preventive maintenance and intermittent corrective maintenance tasks
Play an active role in various projects such as upgrades, new installations or new functionality for customers. Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments

Required Skills & Experience

High School Diploma and 7+ years of related hands on troubleshooting industrial equipment experience with controls/networking communication experience for equipment
o OR Associates/Bachelor's Degree in field relating to instrumentation & control, electrical or electronics engineering, instrumentation or process control with 3+ years of troubleshooting industrial equipment with controls/networking communication experience
o OR military experience with Electrical or Electronics knowledge and ability to read diagrams, blueprints, and troubleshoot electrical and electronics equipment/components
Controls/Process Controls, PLCs, or HMI programming and troubleshooting experience
QCS programming and troubleshooting experience
Candidates must be comfortable using electrical test equipment such as voltmeters or multi-meters safely as well as other basic hand tools
Hands on troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude/knowledge
Must be comfortable working in a "on-call" rotating schedule with other members of the site team ("on-call hours will be compensated for)
