Job Description

A building automation systems company is looking for a Service Specialist in San Diego County. This person will be providing ongoing engineering support for existing building systems. They will also be conducting preventive maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, debugging installation issues, commissioning, and general servicing of systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems). The ideal candidate will have a background of servicing HVAC control systems, site preparations, programming systems, and working on multiple builds. They will be communicating with customers and contractors, conducting site visits, and training all parties on system operations.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3-7 years of experience as a control technician, lead systems specialist (LSS), controls engineer, or engineering specialist

- Experience programming control systems - specifically being able to understand construction documents and what it takes to translate them into control systems

- Experience reviewing and implementing controls database, graphics, and programming for logic sequences in automation systems (Siemens, Tridium, Distech, Johnson Controls (JCI), Delta Controls, etc.)

- Must be comfortable traveling 80% of the time in the greater San Diego County

- Must have a valid driver's license.



Will be given a company car, phone, laptop, and tools

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Two year technical degree in HVAC or Electronics related studies

- B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
