Belay Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level System Administrator (SA) to join our intel team. The SA provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. The SA manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. The SA provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

Candidates should have the following qualifications: 

  • TS/SCI with full scope polygraph is required.   
  • Must have Bachelor’s in System Administration or of similar field or scope
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience
     

Candidates are required to have the following skills:

  • Python Experience:
  • Ability to demonstrate solid knowledge of Python and XML.
  • Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design
  • Experience with build environments such as Gradle or Maven
  • Preferred - Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Data Flow/Data Analytics:
  • Exposure to streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka). Log analysis and General Troubleshooting (tuning and optimization, Search and Indexing Operations, mapping, monitoring) understanding on Elastic Stack (Elastic, Logstash, Beats, Kibana, Fluent etc) and knowledge on Opensearch APIs.
  • Experience in Business Analytics application, support, and troubleshooting concepts
  • Experience with Python, Groovy and/or Java
  • Experience with continuous integration environments, such as Bamboo
  • DevOps/Automation:
  • Ability to demonstrate solid knowledge of Python, Java and/or Groovy.  Knowledge of Powershell and/or Bash scripting is a plus.
  • Performing system and subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, and subsystem and system integration and tests for a system.
  • Develop capabilities to automate deployment of updates and fixes
  • Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
  • Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
  • Perform root cause analysis for production errors
  • Knowledge of RDMS, such as Postgres, desired including:
  • Database design, development and implementation
  • Experience with creating and optimizing queries
  • Experience with data parsing and data flow
  • Development of data structures for the overall architecture of a system accounting for performance and resiliency
  • Knowledge of Java and/or Python preferred
  • Knowledge of database storage and retrieval using Cloud technologies preferred.

Candidates are desired to have the following skills:

  • Creating and managing virtual environments with VMware – Vcenter 6.7.0 or above
  • Knowledge of virtual networking – NSX-V/NSX-T
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell
  • Knowledge of Dell Chassis (M1000e/MX7000) and Blades (M620-MX740c)
  • Knowledge of EMC products – DataDomain, XtremeIO/PowerStore, and Isilon.
  • Configure and maintain storage (EMC Isilon)
  • Experience with administration and/or architecture of ELK (Elastic, Log Stash, Kibana) including
  • Diagnosing shard issues and repairing a cluster's health
  • Backing up and restoring a cluster and/or specific indices
  • Configuring a snapshot to be searchable
  • Configuring a cluster for cross-cluster search
  • Implementing cross-cluster replication
  • Defining role-based access control using Elasticsearch Security
