This posting is a Customer Solutions position within the Small Business Solutions Organization
Designs, develops, and implements supply chain solutions in support of internal/external customers and/or corporate initiatives.
Leads the overall solution development as the key interface with Sales, Engineering/Operations, Technology, and other internal resources to align deliverables with overall project goals throughout the project lifecycle.
Provides guidance and recommendations that supports the sales process and improves the organization's ability to differentiate and add value to the overall solution and sales strategy for both new and existing customers.
Provides supply chain improvement recommendations evaluating the customer supply chain network while applying fact-based analysis and knowledge in transportation modes (parcel, LTL/TL, air freight, ocean, rail) and global shipping requirements.
Evaluates customer business needs and industry insights to establish high-level strategy to execute supply chain improvements based on the services and capabilities offered by utilizing Quality tools and processes.
May Lead multiple complex assignments concurrently while working individually and/or leading peer/cross functional teams with internal/external customer interaction.
Leads brainstorming, review sessions to develop recommendations while ensuring industry best practices and methods are applied to projects.
Mentors and provides guidance to less senior team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree/equivalent in Business, supply chain, engineering or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years business experience in a supply chain related field to include designing, maintaining, and/or implementation of solutions to complex business situations.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Leverage relevant technology such as MS Office Applications and internal systems/tools for efficient project management and execution.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Embraces learning and continual improvement.
Ability to present solutions to Sr level customers and internal Leadership.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Strong business acumen.
Collaborative individual, able to influence without authority and engage senior leaders and functional partners proactively.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Considered a Plus:
Experience and understanding of FedEx operational networks ( Express, Ground, and Freight).
Experience with Quality methodology and application.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with multiple phase deadlines.
Excellent time management, project management and organizational skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Models a curious and innovative mindset; ability to transition ideas into actions.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with the leadership team and functional business teams to support the ongoing needs of Sales and Operations.
Leads peer analysis in sales and/or solutions.
May mentor less senior staff.
Leads brainstorming with sales and Operations on customer supply chain approaches and solutions.
Develops recommendations for moderate to complex sales/customer opportunities and internal processes, managing cross departmental projects and presenting solutions to multiple levels of management.
