Position Duties | Loyola University Maryland is pleased to announce an Affiliate Piano Instructor position in the Visual and Performing Arts Department’s Music Program at the Loyola University Maryland, with an anticipated start date of September 2023. The successful candidate will join a highly skilled and dedicated applied faculty as part of an active department committed to helping students of all levels achieve their potential; we embrace the novice musician as well as the serious student aspiring toward a career in music. Ideal candidates should be experienced and comfortable teaching collegiate students of all levels (beginner to advanced) as part of the Music Program’s applied affiliate faculty. Teachers set their teaching schedules in conjunction with student availability (typically during normal class hours), but late-afternoon, evening, and/or Saturday hours are also acceptable. Lessons are either 30 minutes or 45 minutes in duration. A 30-minute lesson is $400/student per semester; a 45-minute lesson is $600/student per semester. Pay is based on student number and length of lesson. The position pay schedule is twice each semester, once at mid-term, and once following the final class day of the semester. Duties:
