Required Skills:
• 5 years minimum experience in machine technologies with 3 years minimum experience with Gibbscam and Solidworks.
• Experience with Mazak Smooth X and Fanuc controls.
• Associate’s degree in machining technology preferred or equivalent.
• Experience in jig and fixture design.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% for training, new equipment investigations, and runoffs.
• Ability and willingness to work safely on the shop floor as necessary.

Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY

Develop, organize, and define the detail processes and programming of parts on CNC machine tools using Gibbscam and Solidworks. Collaborate with Engineering, Tool Design, and Manufacturing Technicians to determine the best practice for program and tooling development. This is an on-site position.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop CNC Lathe programs using Gibbscam and best practices.
• Develop and test CAM post processors.
• Develop and maintain CNC programs and all associated documentation.
• Seek input from employees on ways to improve manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and layout.
• Investigate and purchase tools and equipment as required by manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Tool Design on fixtures and work holding for machining operations.
• Participate in first article and CNC program prove out in machine shop.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering Manager with purchase of capital equipment purchases.
• Provide shop floor support for machine shop.
• Estimate machining costs in determining the economics for new products.
• Work within labor agreement and work rules.
• Initiate drawing change requests affecting material and manufacturing processes to reduce costs.
• Comply with all environmental standards.
• Keep safety a top priority in all aspects of daily job duties.
