Job Description
JOB REQUIREMENTS: We have a large, well established Youth Sports Program
for children in grades K 6, with teams primarily coached by volunteers.
As a Youth Sports Official, you are responsible for enforcing rules and
regulations while emphasizing good sportsmanship and enjoyment of the
sport. Additional responsibilities include assisting with coaching, game
preparation, and maintaining a safe environment. Hiring now for summer
shifts! \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of the
sport\'s skills and rules and safety awareness are required. Personal
experience in the sport, background in Y sports philosophy and
experience refereeing or coaching are beneficial. Most important, you
must be energetic and enjoy working with kids in a fun and fast-paced
environment. You must be sensitive to the needs of individuals and have
the ability to build rapport with participants and parents. Other
critical competencies include self-confidence, strong communication
skills to interact with players, coaches and parents in a positive
manner, the ability to enforce rules impartially, consistently and
calmly. You must possess a spirit of good sportsmanship and exhibit the
Y core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring. \*\*\*\*\*
