Required Skills: | What you bring Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar field required Professional Engineer License (PE) or Architecture License (AIA) required, both licenses preferred Prior experience with architectural design/engineering, project management and consulting required Prior experience with mentoring and managing a team, or desire to step into that role We are looking for someone to be a hands-on manager providing resource management to the highly functioning team with hybrid working arrangements All of our design work utilizes Revit, so knowledge of Revit is a plus This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. Job Description: |
Overview MSA has an opportunity for a Team Leader - Architecture at any of our 17 office locations. This person will provide management to a high performing architectural team performing designs on a diverse array of project types in the public sector, including: municipal buildings, water and wastewater treatment facilities, parks and recreation facilities and others. They will be expected to scope and fee project efforts, work directly with existing clients and aid in mentoring existing staff.
Responsibilities The work you may do Team management including mentoring, professional development of team, managing workload of staff, setting priorities, managing the team resources, and team financial management. Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting, contracting, design, and QA/QC Project design work for various municipal project types and sizes Working with MSA leadership on strategic initiatives and business strategies Maintain relationships with existing clients, business development is not a primary focus for this role Leading projects from concept through design for architectural projects, or where architecture is part of a larger multi-disciplinary team
