Actalent Electrical Engineer in CHAMPLIN, Minnesota

Description:

This person will be responsible for working directly with customers to ensure the panels are up to standard.

  1. Control Panel Design - UL 508, NFPA, NEC

  2. AutoCAD Electrical - they use PromisE

  3. Wouldn't be doing a ton of drawing - more reviewing and oversight - project management. Selecting, sizing, panel design and layout, build.

  4. Making I/O list, spec-ing out panel components, this type of power supply, this type of plc, etc.. Allen Bradley knowledge a plus.

  5. Work w/ the team that they outsource to

  6. Manage the instrumentation and overseeing all of the panel construction - spec-ing out panel components, creating I/O lists, project oversight, familiar w/ codes and standards to adhere to, reviewing drawing to make sure we get what we want out of the panels, meet w/ panel vendor to discuss what we want and what components we want in the panel layout.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 5+ years' experience with codes and standards for control panels (NEC, UL 508A, NFPA)

  • 5+ years' experience sizing, selecting, panel design and layout, and build of control panels

  • 5+ years' experience working with plc's, vfd's, motor control

  • AutoCAD Electrical, Promis-e, or Eplan experience a plus

  • Project management experience a plus
