ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
The Product Engineering group for Callaway Golf Ball Operations is responsible for the new product and new process development efforts. Serving as a liaison between Research and Development and Manufacturing operations globally, product engineering uses a phase-gate approach to scaling new technologies. Whether it is helping develop a new product for commercialization, introducing new materials to improve product performance, or developing a cutting-edge manufacturing method, Product Engineering uses a data-driven approach to ensure we are constantly transforming cutting-edge ideas into tangible on-course performance benefits for our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute experiments and pilot manufacturing runs to evaluate new technologies
Analyze, summarize, and share results of data and observations gathered during experimentation
Perform laboratory measurements on materials and products under guidance of engineers and material scientists
Coordinate logistics of shipments for test samples, materials, and product requests
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Able to operate manufacturing and laboratory equipment by following Standard Operating Procedures
Able to analyze data and create summaries in Microsoft programs (Word, Power Point, Excel, Access)
Able to effectively communicate in a professional manner verbally and in digital formats like email.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing operation.
Experience in golf ball manufacturing is preferred.
Associates degree or higher is preferred.
