JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: As one of the nation\'s premier colleges
of agricultural and life sciences, the UW-Madison College of
Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) seeks an accomplished faculty
leader to serve as Associate Dean for Student Affairs. In this role, you
will lead the Office of Academic Affairs and its programs to oversee and
advance high quality, innovative, and productive instructional programs.
You will advise the Dean and serve on the Dean\'s senior leadership
team, maintaining relationships with a wide range of colleagues within
CALS and across the university, including department chairs, faculty
members, academic staff and students. The Associate Dean for Student
Affairs will be responsible for unifying and implementing a 21st century
vision to complement the 125+ year history of stellar research,
instruction, and outreach that forms the core of the College of
Agricultural and Life Sciences. In this role, you will lead and promote
innovative activity in the college\'s curricular and co? curricular
offerings while also maintaining an emphasis on the core educational
values of the college (e.g. experiential learning, faculty interaction
with undergraduates, focus on mentoring, and student success). The
successful candidate will be a faculty leader who demonstrates cultural
awareness and agility, exercises emotional intelligence, builds trust
and credibility, and collaborates with a wide variety of partners within
a large complex organization and with external partners and
collaborators. Supervision of \~25 staff is a primary requirement of
this position, including supervision of four assistant deans. The
college currently has an enrollment of approximately 3400 undergraduate
students and 950 graduate students, in over 70 academic programs. The
college is comprised of 225 tenure-track faculty, 800 staff, and 160+
