Position Overview: We are excited about the growth in the oil and gas industry and we are currently looking for a Winch and Haul Truck Driver with a Class A CDL. This position serves as a critical mission of our success. This role requires some previous work experience. This position serves as an opportunity that is willing to put forth the effort and physical ability to complete all duties required. This position needs someone willing to be dependable and interested in working to the best of your ability. Previous experience working in the oil and gas field is not required but a valued impression.

Reports to: Field Supervisor

 

Major duties:

  • Drives required equipment safely to and from location

  • Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner

  • Loading, unloading, and securing all types of cargo

  • Completes the paperwork for each job to include pre and post trip inspections, company work tickets, DOT electronic logs (if required)

  • Understands DOT minimum maintenance requirements of CMV

  • May be requested to work outside of normal work schedule to meet customer needs

  • Maintaining customer service satisfaction

  • Clean and maintain applicable equipment during and after use

  • Teamwork and communication skills are essential

  • Report any CMV repairs to appropriate individuals and any other concerned or safety related issues. Prior maintenance or repairs of diesel equipment is a plus

  • Able to follow directions or the ability to use navigation equipment if needed to the work site

  • Maintain and properly utilize Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) equipment such as: hardhat, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe boots, Flame Resistant clothing and gloves.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Required: 

  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a current medical card

  • Understands applicable DOT rules and state highway laws

  • Valid Class A CDL with 2 yr. CDL Experience

  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check and Motor Vehicle Record requirement standards

  • Able to read and understand English language

Preferred:

  • Haul Truck experience with flatbed and winch trucks
  • Prior knowledge of diesel engine or components repair

  • Experience operating winch related equipment and safe operations as such

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift and position vehicle equipment weighing up to 50+ lbs.

  • Able to sit long periods while driving

  • Able to stand long periods while cargo is being loaded and unloaded

  • Safely operate heavy machinery as required, including the unloading or loading of machinery

Typical working conditions and hazards:

  • Work is performed in all weather conditions

  • Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required

  • Potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving equipment

  • Potential exposure to loud noises, airborne toxins, solvents, flammable atmospheres and industrial chemicals

  • Operating company assets on state, county, or local roadways
