Darien Center. Six Flags Darien Lake. Event parking Attendant. Starting at $17/hour. JOB PURPOSE: To help our concert guests park their vehicles accordingly and assist in other places when needed. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team members. * Enforce park policy in a manner conducive to being an advocate for the guest, while still adhering to park rules and regulations. * Adhere to all operating procedures as outlined in the Parking standard operating procedures for the positions they are staffing. * Direct concert traffic to parking spots and ensure vehicles are parked correctly. * Assist pedestrians to safely navigate the parking lot and get access to the amusement park. * Assists guests with questions and contacting appropriate personnel for car trouble. * Answer guest questions, give proper guidance, and resolve guest concerns. * Perform each task in a friendly manner and with a smile. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: * Must be at least 16 years old. * Ability to actively communicate with large groups of guests * BE ABLE TO WORK ALL CONCERT DAYS. This position will only be needed 20-25 days throughout the summer. More hours are available on other days in other departments at $15/Hr. OTHER FUNCTIONS: Any and all other duties that is assigned or necessary in order to support the Operations Department and the park as a whole. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time throughout the day * Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions * Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, hand/eye coordination, near vision, hearing and speech * Requires occasional kneeling and bending * Requires occasional walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling * Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. This position requires occasional work in or around wetness, confined spaces-cramped quarters, heights, noise, detergents/chemicals, mechanical hazards, moving objects, fumes/odors, dust, mists, gases, or vibrations. The noise level is generally moderate.
