Primary Objective/Overview:

  • Responsible for identifying, developing and implementing strategic marketing programs in the Asia Pacific Region that drive business objectives. Key markets will include Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, India, Hong Kong and SEA and ANZ
  • With deep understanding of the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) business, work closely with regional marketing team and country teams as a key contributor to support the execution of programs and supporting the region with a focus on core markets of Japan, China, ANZ, Korea and developing markets in South East Asia and India and vital contributor to the future growth of the CRM franchise in Asia Pacific
  • The primary objective for this role is to bring additional product level knowledge and support for the franchise for the region; ensuring tailored programs are in place for key markets that use the full breadth and depth of the Abbott CRM portfolio
  • You should have a strong working knowledge of the CRM business and will work in close collaboration with Regional CRM Marketing team as well as a diverse group of in-country sales and marketing partners, in analyzing market opportunities, tailoring programs from inception to execution, and monitoring the effectiveness of programs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing support within APAC region, content creation for marketing and external communications
  • Conduct market research, to build input to product development and design, set prices, launch new products, oversee advertising campaigns, and monitor sales performance to effectively market assigned products/services
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate APAC market trends, consumer behavior and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for the product/service
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate product performance, market share and customer feedback to generate new product ideas
  • Monitor and evaluation of the impact of the marketing campaigns
  • Identify product/service changes to meet customer needs
  • Liaise with other areas of the organization (e.g. production, R&D) to implement these changes
  • Monitor sales volume, revenues and costs against forecasts for the region
  • Adapt plans to improve the sales performance of the product/service
  • Liaise with supply chain and demand planning, along with back order prioritizing
  • Liaise with advertising and promotions specialists to design sales campaigns and sales collateral for the product/service that are effective and appropriate for the target audience
  • Liaise with the events team on the organization of meetings and congresses

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Business/Science or related fields. Candidates with Masters/MBA qualification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in the medical devices industry, preferably in Cardiology/Cardiac Rhythm Management
  • Prior sales experience preferred
  • Experience in working in cross functional teams, collaboratively, with sales, R&D, and manufacturing
  • Experience in building and implementing marketing strategies, strong market analysis skills
  • Solid understanding of reimbursement policies in the region
  • Highly strategic and analytical problem solver
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Detail oriented, creative and resourceful individual
  • Able to lead by example and influence stakeholders
