SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS for Elementary Extended School Year Sites - ASD, ABS, DD, SLD, EBD, MMI, MSI

Summer positions are based on student enrollment. Assignments will be made based on student needs.

DATES & SUMMER HOURS: June 17 - June 28
June 12 - Teacher set-up day
June 17 - June 21, Monday thru Friday, 3.75 hours per day; NO SCHOOL on June 19th
June 24 - June 28, Monday thru Friday, 3.75 hours per day

Teacher hours are 8:45 am - 12:30 pm / Student contact hours are 9:15am - 12:15pm

SITES:
Elementary ESY Centerbased Sites: Champlin Brooklyn Park Academy, Jefferson Elementary, Ramsey Elementary
Elementary ESY Resource Sites: Andover Elementary, Madison Elementary, Mississippi Elementary, Oxbow Creek Elementary

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilizing district provided curriculum and materials, plan and provide specialized instruction to students for maintenance of skills related to IEP goals and objectives in either a multi-age, cross categorical setting or multi-age, disability explicit setting to maintain skills which are subject to regression/recoupment, self-sufficiency, or unique needs. Teachers will also implement student IEP accommodations/modifications/assistive technology and behavior support plans. If paraeducator supports are assigned to the classroom, provide direction to paraeducators to support student needs. Complete end of ESY session procedures, including ESY IEP progress reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires ANY current MN Special Ed Teaching License. Must be physically working in the building. This position may be filled immediately after 7 posting days (after: 1/24/24) by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license).(Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.)

RATE OF PAY: Payment for this assignment is based upon actual hours worked and contract rates apply to the summer school assignment. All Summer School Teachers will receive the hourly rate of $36.80 in accordance with the working agreement as stated in Article X, Section 6. Teachers will be paid for teaching time plus prep time.
