Progressive experience in competitive athletics environment such as student-athlete, student manager, professional athlete or video coordinator
Knowledge and understanding of competitive Division I men’s and women’s hockey, including general program operations, recruiting, and game day protocols
Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy and ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
Strong background with a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software
Preferred experience in video editing software, specifically XOS video replay system, or other similar product
Excellent administrative and organizational skills, including the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and complete tasks by established deadlines

Job Description:
St. Cloud State University is seeking a Director of Hockey Operations for its Division I hockey program. This is a non-coaching position, which will coordinate the operational aspects of the hockey program by assisting with video operations, budget oversight, game and practice scheduling, recruiting visits, travel planning, and community service coordination. This position also includes video coordination at home and on the road, and works closely with the areas of ticketing, video/creative content, and marketing. The Coordinator also oversees, trains, and assists the women’s hockey operations coordinator.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Oversee travel coordination for men’s and women’s hockey programs, including but not limited to:
Arrange competitive travel accommodations for travel parties (lodging, meals, transportation, equipment)
Seek transportation bids per University policy
Assist coaches with recruiting travel accommodations
Assist in organizing and implementing all game and practice scheduling for men’s and women’s hockey programs
Assist in developing team competition schedules, including completion of game contracts
Adhere to budget parameters and finance policies and procedures, including submission of paperwork/documentation in a timely fashion

Prepare and supervise special video and or administrative projects and support as requested by hockey coaching staff
Coordinate film exchange with non-conference and conference opponents
Oversee all audio, visual, and technical needs for the hockey staff
Assist in research and decision-making related to video equipment
Serve as liaison to video equipment provider to maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues
Provide oversight and training to student coordinator for hockey operations
Manage small scale productions and highlight video for special events

Assist in coordinating special events related to men’s and women’s hockey
Assist with annual alumni events, including golf fundraiser, alumni games, alumni outreach, etc.
Assist in scheduling/organizing community engagement events (Skate with the Huskies, youth clinics, community service projects, etc.)
Assist with summer camps

Other duties as assigned
Assist in monitoring student-athlete academic progress
Assist in communication with conference office related to schedules, travel, video programming, etc.

Perform other duties as necessary to build support for and add value to the objectives and goals of the University, Department of Athletics, and Athletics Communications unit.
