System Validation Engineer, Pixel System Coex Validation

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience working in consumer product development and validation, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in bench electrical validation, bring-up, triage, deriving DOEs, and statistical analysis for categorizing and capturing improvement/regression.
  • Experience building relationships, promoting cross-team collaboration between Electrical Engineering, Product Development, Tech Engineering, Silicon, Software, CM/JDM, etc. to facilitate project execution.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in technical leadership.
  • Experience developing hardware debugging tools and scripts.
  • Understanding of consumer electronic analog digital circuits spanning SOC, PMU, Sensors, Display/Touch, Audio, Camera, RF subsystems, and electrical signal characterization/lab equipment.

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the System Coexistence through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Drive the System Coexistence test plan and test methodology that cover all aspects of the Pixel product subsystems.
  • Own and execute the System Coexistence validation that covers across technology development, New Technology Introduction, and New Product Introduction.
  • Develop new test infrastructure and instruments to improve test coverage and efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to derive the innovative validation/test solution.
