Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scrum Master with a specialized focus on cloud migrations to join our team. As a Scrum Master, you will be crucial in leading and guiding cross-functional teams to ensure the timely, efficient, and cost-effective migration of our client's infrastructure and applications to the cloud while adhering to Agile principles and practices.

Location: Remote, Support EST business hours

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and execute multiple cloud migration work streams simultaneously.

Develop and implement comprehensive cloud migration plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Analyze dependencies between work streams and identify and mitigate potential risks.

Oversee the work of technical teams responsible for migration activities, including architects, engineers, and developers.

Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including product owners, development teams, operations teams, and senior management, to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the migration process.

Identify potential risks and impediments to the migration process and work proactively to mitigate them, ensuring a smooth and successful migration.

Empower and coach the team to self-organize and continuously improve their processes, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Manage communication and collaboration between stakeholders, including technical teams, business units, and senior management.

Track key performance indicators and metrics related to the migration process, regularly updating stakeholders on progress and milestones achieved.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team and across the organization, leveraging Agile best practices and lessons learned from previous migrations.

Promote Agile best practices and foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability within the organization. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Agile development.

Identify opportunities for automation and optimization within the cloud migration process.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

4+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in the IT field

4+ years of practical experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean, focusing on iterative delivery and continuous improvement..

4+ years of experience with cloud migration projects.

Experience running agile ceremonies (user story grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, story point estimation, etc) or serving as a scrum master

Experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.

Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex technical projects.

Strong technical knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Excellent program management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate technical and non-technical audiences.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Prior experience in software development or a technical role is a plus, providing a deeper understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification required.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

PMP certification (highly desired).
